I have adopted the word, "sevidical."

And is it not a lovely word?  Does it not run off the tongue?

Even BETTER, it means: speaking cruel and harsh words.  To wit:
You better watch out for my sevidical tongue, motherfuckers; I know how to wield my words like weapons.
The Oxford English Dictionary is on a quest to keep thousands of words alive before people stop using them altogether.  I love words, and I CANNOT! STOP PLAYING! ON THIS SITE!  Go adopt your own word, and please share in comments!

  1. As the Co-Chair of the Committee to Reintroduce the Extirpated Verb "to swyve" in the English Language, founded in 2006, I salute you!

As someone who is now going to lose SEVERAL HOURS playing around on that site, I grumble good-naturedly in your general direction.

  3. I seem to have been incredibly benevolent today and adopted several words. I will refute the lies of public tortiloquy, shame snollygosters, correct those nonsensical phylarogists, respect and celebrate pregnantress, achieve and celebrate my surgation, and perhaps tonight I will go molrowing with some ladies of the evening...but probably not.

Thank you, Gayle! You made my day.

  4. I just adopted the word "supellectile" - having the nature of furniture. What a wonderful site! It's especially fun with the volume turned way up. Thanks for sharing the link!

  5. I am pleased to announce the new arrival of "stiricide" into my vocabulary. It means "the falling of icicles, as from the edge of a roof."

This is the best day of my life.
